Welcome Business Analytics Class of 2013
The Business Analytics program at UT would like to welcome the class of 2013! Our students began orientation on August 20th after participating in the ropes course activities the weekend before. The students have come to the University of Tennessee from many states, including: Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, Indiana and Kansas. They will graduate in December 2013 and will be leaving the program with advanced skills in data management, data mining, predictive modeling, forecasting, optimization and communication.
A message from Dr. Kenneth Gilbert, Department Head:
This class of 2013 is exceptional. They all have undergraduate GPAs in excess of 3.5; a cross section of degrees that span from supply chain and statistics to anthropology; and interesting backgrounds ranging from forensic accounting to SEC varsity cheerleading. And, importantly, they are all eager to learn our Tennessee model for business analytics, graduate, and begin to use their training to answer some of the business world's 'holy grail' questions.
