PhD Programs The University of Tennessee's College of Business Administration offers six Ph.D. degrees in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Development, Logistics, Marketing, and Statistics), and four  independent Ph.D. programs (Economics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Management Science).

Research & Teaching
As a Ph.D. student in the College of Business, you will benefit from the significant number of faculty who are internationally recognized for excellence in research and teaching. The faculty often works in a research team format that includes Ph.D. students as research collaborators. New knowledge generated from research is quickly incorporated into the College's graduate and executive education programs. The College's research centers focus on topics of interest including customer value, supply chain management, quality, activity based accounting, measurement systems, environmental management, lean production, and financial management. The College is well known for its innovation in establishing research partnerships with many of the nation's leading corporations. In every department you will find faculty who publish in the nation's leading business journals.

With the many innovative programs, Ph.D. students are encouraged to develop their teaching skills and have the opportunity to work with recognized master teachers.
