Developing Individuals, Transforming Organizations
The Human Resource Management Program : The Bachelor's Degree Program
The Bachelor's Degree Program
Welcome
The Human Resource Management Program advances economic development and organizational and individual effectiveness through the integration of training, career, and organizational development. HRM's program offerings span the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degree levels.
Human resource positions are the fourth most sought-after positions in the country, and human resource salaries have increased by 25 percent in the past five years. In Tennessee, starting salaries for these jobs are $40,000 to $60,000.
The Bachelor's (B.S.B.A.) degree program offers instructional specializations and credentialing programs for H.R. professionals preparing for public and private sector communities and corporations. Students admitted into the HRD program will be expected to develop and demonstrate mastery of a wide range of instructional competencies that are stipulated by international organizations such as the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSTPI), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
The Bachelor's (B.S.B.A.) degree prepares those individuals who wish to develop professional expertise in human resources to work in the private and public sectors in capacities such as program designers, subject matter experts, and instructional specialists.
