My Strategic HRM (HRM 555) course is the capstone course of the HR MS degree program. The other HR courses fulfill the program electives.

Management 207, Business Functions: Understanding how business works through application and integration of fundamental business functions. The course includes various aspects of marketing, finance, logistics, accounting, organizational behavior, human resources, operations, and information management.

Strategic Human Resource Management (HRM 555) Examination of the role of human resource management in creating and sustaining competitive advantage. The purpose of this course is to focus attention on the “missing linkages” that separate “good organizations” from “great organizations.” This course places the spotlight on a strategic human resource function that is committed and capable of creating, implementing, measuring, and sustaining competitive advantage through efficient and effective positive organizational practices that yield increased workforce productivity and performance.

Management 595: Special Managerial Topics (Collaborative Strategies) This course examines the strategies for collaboration and teambuilding within organizational systems. The course assists HR professionals understand the processes associated with teambuilding including defining types of teams, rewarding and evaluating team performance, operating principles and communication within teams. The primary focus of this course will be creating the high performance team.
