Joy is a lecturer in the MBA Entrepreneurship program, and helps start technology-based businesses at both the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and the University of Tennessee Research Foundation. She came to the university after starting a business consulting company that specialized in business start-ups and economic development. Prior to that, she was Director of Marketing at Accenture, and she also worked at Motorola in their New Ventures group, where she had responsibility for developing new market opportunities, market entry strategies and business plans for new businesses. Joy holds an MBA in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and a BS in both Finance and Marketing from Florida State University.
