Course Credit Information

Participating students will receive 1 hour of course credit
for BA 591 for Spring Semester, 2008.

This Global Stand & Deliver will have each of the MBA teams develop a CAGE analysis on the likelihood of a foreign firm successfully entering the Argentine market. CAGE is an acronym for an international investment technique developed by Pankaj Ghemawat in his 2001 HBR article “Distance Still Matters.” The MBA teams will complete a report or make presentations on their conclusions before the trip in March. This will be graded. Then, the individuals who go on the international trip will develop a second report that critically discusses their team’s original product. This second report will be graded for international trip credit. The focus of the work will center on how differences in culture, administrative, geographic and economic factors might influence the success of a hypothetical investment and how the firm needs to modify its approach in other countries.
