Timothy BassettTimothy Bassett is an MBA Candidate in the Class of 2013 at the University of Tennessee. With a concentration in Finance, Tim hopes to pursue a career in Venture Capital and Private Equity Investing. Prior to joining the UT Full-Time MBA Program, Tim served as Assistant Facilities Manager with CB Richard Ellis for the Goldman Sachs New Jersey Corporate Real Estate Portfolio in Jersey City, NJ. In this role, Tim was responsible for managing four core properties and increasing the overall financial and energy efficiency of each. Originally from the North Shore of Boston, Massachusetts and a long-time Red Sox fan, Tim is a 2008 graduate of Fordham University in New York City with a degree in history. He views his position as a Haslam Torch Fund Manager as an opportunity to develop his knowledge in capital markets and equity research. |

Todd SkeltonTodd Skelton is in the dual JD/MBA program at The University of Tennessee. He is pursuing the business transactions concentration in the College of Law and the MBA Program’s finance concentration. Todd is from Surgoinsville, Tennessee. He completed his undergraduate degree in the College Scholars Program at The University of Tennessee, where he studied business law and corporate governance. In 2010, Todd received the Torchbearer Award, the Chancellor’s highest student honor. Todd is a Student Materials Editor on the Tennessee Law Review and is an Executive Editor for Transactions: Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Last year, Todd served as President of UT’s Graduate Student Senate. Todd has clerked for the law firm Hunter, Smith & Davis, LLP, the General Counsel & Secretary of Ruby Tuesday, Inc., and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Division of Enforcement and Investigations in Washington, D.C. Todd was a member of the 2004 United States Junior Men’s Team at the World Mountain Running Championships in Italy. |

Brad SummersBrad Summers holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Prescott College in Prescott, AZ and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. His prior work in philosophy of science and decision theory brings a unique background to investing and portfolio management. His interests include cognitive psychology (especially with respect to probability calculations), behavioral finance, portfolio and position hedging, derivative instruments, and interrelations between capital markets. He hopes to be able to use his experience with the Haslam Fund to gain a position in Sales and Trading. |

Michelle WaymireMichelle Waymire graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Chicago, and is a proud member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Her B.A. thesis, " A Sociological Assessment of the Impact of National Biometric Card Policies on Irregular Migration in the US," was nominated for the Adlai Stephenson Undergraduate Thesis Award. She spent one year teaching in an inner-city charter high school before joining the University of Tennessee’s MBA program. Michelle plans to concentrate in Marketing and Finance, and hopes to use her financial analysis skills from her experience managing the Haslam fund to find work as a consultant after graduation. |

Alex BealeAlex Beale is originally from Memphis, TN. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee in 2009 with a double major in Political Science and Legal Studies. After completing his undergraduate degrees he attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law where he graduated with his Juris Doctor in May of 2012. Alex currently works at UBS with the Wages/Wilson Group. He is a first year MBA student whose concentration is Finance. Alex hopes his experience with the LaPorte fund will help him gain practical experience in the area of financial planning and wealth management.

Kerry DouglasKerry Douglas is a native of Yorktown, VA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences. Kerry is currently a first year MBA student whose concentration is Finance. She looks forward to applying her quantitative analysis skills to the LaPorte fund management and believes this opportunity will provide insightful and practical knowledge of capital markets, financial analysis, and portfolio management. She is interested in pursuing a career in corporate financial management and investments. Kerry’s extracurricular activities include being an active alumna of Kappa Delta sorority, a member of the Tennessee Organization of MBAs (TOMBA) and MBA Women International (MBAWI). |

Mike KobanMike A. Koban, III is a native of Nashville, TN. In 2008, he obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia where he studied Environmental Science and Astronomy. After college, he attended the University of West Florida and completed a Master's of Science in Environmental Science. During this time he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, worked for the National Park Service and was recognized by the Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee for a research grant. This education honed his analytical and data management skills, which will be beneficial as a 2012-2013 Torch Fund Manager. Mike is now an MBA candidate and plans to study Finance and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is also a Graduate Fellow collaborating with B&W Y-12 through UT's MBA program. Mike hopes that learning how to manage investments combined with learning the government's environmental regulations will position him well to raise capital for alternative energy companies around the state of Tennessee and in the Southeast.

Taylor KennedyTaylor Kennedy is a native of Crossville, Tennessee. She is currently a junior at the University of Tennessee studying Finance with a special concentration in Logistics. In the summer of 2011, she worked as an intern in the logistics department at Roane Transportation Services located in Rockwood, Tennessee.Upon graduation, she plans to apply to the University of Tennessee College of Law. Taylor is thrilled to be chosen as one of the first undergraduates to be involved in the Torch Fund program, and she is eager to gain practical knowledge in the area of investments and portfolio management.Taylor's extracurricular activities include being an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, reading, and running. |
